More than a one-time sightseeing destination, Pike Place Market has an indescribable energy that attracts natives and visitors alike. Multiple connected levels of the market feature an array of restaurants, specialty food shops, and novelty, antique and clothing stores.
Pioneer Square
The quaint brick buildings found here were built atop what remained of the business district after the great fire of 1889. Browsing through the district's bookstores, galleries and specialty shops can easily occupy an afternoon. At night, Pioneer Square becomes the scene for live blues, jazz, rock and comedy acts.
Safeco Field
This is the new home to the Seattle Mariners, with retractable roof for open-air seating. Go behind the scenes at one of Major League Baseball’s most amazing ballparks. Cameras are welcome. All areas are subject to availability depending on activities within the ballpark. The one-hour tour covers approximately one mile of walking distance.
Seattle Center
Developed from the facilities of the Seattle World's Fair in 1962, the Seattle Center is still a favorite for natives and visitors. Situated on a landscaped 74-acre campus in the heart of Seattle, its 10 facilities house 30 halls, Key Arena, Mercer Arena, the Opera House, the Seattle Children's Museum, and about 40 retail and food outlets. Towering over the center is the city's most famous attraction, the 605-foot Space Needle.
Waterfront
Seattle's waterfront is a hive of activity and sights. Rows of boats, fishing piers, the Seattle Aquarium, shops and restaurants fill the docks along Alaskan Way.
