Serenade of the Seas Features:

As a member of the Radiance Family of ships, the design of the ship utilizes acres and acres of glass to ensure that passengers onboard are constantly surrounded by spectacular sweeping views of the sea. The ship combines a high percentage of balcony cabins with speed, added comforts, greater space, and an enhanced staff. Among the highlights are: glass elevators facing the ocean, six dining alternatives, and a sports court. Several onboard whirlpools and jacuzzis mean that relaxation is never far away, there's even a whirlpool located in the Solarium, where you can unwind in an Indian Raj-like setting. The Fitness Center contains state-of-the-art exercise equipment, fitness classes, a massage parlor, and hair salon. Golfers will find a putting green and golf simulators, and you don't have to be an expert climber to enjoy the rock climbing wall. There is also a basketball court, game arcades, and three pools, including the special kid's pool area with its own waterslide. The art studio, well-stocked library, and host of shopping options provide other enjoyable outlets. At Royal Caribbean Online, you can access the Internet and send email. Dine in luxury among waterfalls in the Cascades Dining Room, go the upscale Chops Grille for the perfect steak, or have a romantic dinner at the reservations-only Italian restaurant. The Windjammer Cafe has outdoor seating. The Bombay Billiard Club, Jakarta Lounge, Singapore Slings, and the Calcutta Card Club all provide unique venues with a British-Colonial theme within the customizable Colony Club entertainment complex. At night, the excitement mounts at the casino, and the Aurora Borealis light up the Aurora Theatre, where dynamic productions embody the glitz and special effects of Broadway or Las Vegas.

Introduction:

Spectacular glaciers, historic ports and picture perfect sceneries, a private deluxe stateroom with a balcony, personalized onboard services and world-class sightseeing opportunities along the famous Inside Passage, the Gulf of Alaska and the heart of Americas’s Last Frontier are the primary attractions during your Alaska Cruise. Is there a better and easier way for a traveler to experience the isolated coastline of Southeast Alaska? We do not believe so. The cruise lines call Alaska – Natures amazing Showcase – and indeed it is.

1. Day Vancouver:
Often thought of as Canada's most beautiful city, Vancouver is a gorgeous thriving metropolis that's fortunate enough to be flanked by the ocean and mountains. With its numerous parks, beaches, gardens, museums, art galleries and ethnic diversity, Vancouver is one of those rare places that actually lives up to its promise of offering something for everyone. Tipps to visit Vancouver: Few locations offer a more spectacular view of this dynamic city than Stanley Park. The park offers miles of walking trails and bike paths, including an aquarium, outdoor pool, tennis courts and more. Granville Island's Public Market on Vancouver's west side is a wonderful place to grab a quick bite, shop for a gourmet meal and find unique souvenirs with its variety of shops, stalls and galleries. Robson Street and the surrounding downtown offer the best shopping and people-watching in town. Stores with European flair share the avenue with delicatessens, modern boutiques, coffee houses, and a myriad of ethnic eateries. Departure 17:00

2. Day At Sea:
All it takes to get the inside story of Alaska's beauty is a trip through the Inside Passage, Alaska's "water highway", where majestic fjords compete for your attention with mountain masterpieces carved by the glaciers. Small fishing villages along the coast dot breathtaking panoramas and the protected waters are perfect for spotting marine mammals and other wildlife.

3. Day Icy Strait Point:
The creation of Alaska's newest cruise port, Icy Strait, represents a win-win collaboration between local communities and the giant cruise corporations who make big profits from visitors eager to experience America's "last wilderness." The new facility - just down the road from Hoonah, Alaska's largest Huna Tlingit village, and 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park - has been a lifeline for a community in crisis, providing a much-needed alternative source of income for locals afflicted by a downturn in their traditional businesses of fishing and logging. Millions of dollars have been invested in creating a facility that offers cruise travelers an authentic "wilderness experience" and a refreshingly non-commercialized alternative to the usual run of Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway and Sitka.
What they've created is an attractive new destination expressly for cruisers that's man-made but not commercialized. Icy Strait offers pretty woodland walks, an insight into Tlingit history and culture, a wide range of back-to-nature adventures, and good-quality restaurants. Up-market craft shops feature artisan crafts and locally made goods like woodland berry jam and confectionery, rather than the "made in Taiwan" tat so prevalent in, say, Juneau. Buildings are constructed from sustainable local woods and were built by local Tlingit Indian workers in traditional style. During its first full season in summer 2004, Icy Strait attracted 36 cruise ship calls from Royal Caribbean and its up-market subsidiary Celebrity Cruises. In 2006, Holland America Line will join RCCL and Celebrity in adding the port to its schedules. But the Tlingit corporation Huna Totem -- which owns the majority share of Icy Strait Point -- has wisely decided not to go overboard on cruise calls, confining the port's infrastructure to handling one ship a day. Arrival 10:00 / Departure 18:00

4. Day Hubbard Glacier Cruising:
Hubbard Glacier is the one glacier in the world that does not move at a glacial pace. Quite the opposite. In fact, in 1986, Hubbard Glacier - the largest tidewater glacier on the North American continent - moved an average of just under 5.5 feet per hour. Keep a watchful eye as you sail through the Yakutat Bay, as you may be a witness to geological history. Arrival 09:00 / Departure 13:00

5. Day Skagway:
As you approach Skagway, you'll see the town resting peacefully at the base of a river valley bordered by the Coast Mountain Range. The mountains, ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 feet in height, seem to rise straight up from the saltwater fjord. Once on land, the streets of Skagway draw you back to 1898 when this idyllic native fishing village and nearby Deya had a population of about 20.000 during the most fanatic Gold Rush in history. Today, wooden sidewalks, old-fashioned saloons, quaint gift shops and horse-drawn carriages serve as reminders of the famous Alaskan Gold Rush days.  Don’t miss am adventurous trip with the historic White Pass Yukon Railroad – completed in 1890 with the driving of a golden spike in Carcross/Yukon. The narrow gauge railroad climbs about 3000 ft within just 20 Miles. Arrival 07:00 / Departure 20:30

6. Day Juneau:
Established as a gold camp and now Alaska's capital city is the third largest city within the state. Juneau is full of contrasts, a sophisticated cosmopolitan city in the heart of the lush green Tongass National Forest. Nestled at the base of towering mountains dominated by the 1500 square mile Juneau Icefield and overlooking the Gastineau Channel, the community's rich culture and history is displayed throughout the town.

7. Day At Sea:
