Dawn Princess Features:
The Dawn Princess carries less passengers than other ships of its size, providing all the options of a big ship while retaining the intimate feel of a smaller vessel. With over 70% outside staterooms, the ship offers everything from computerized golf to a 24-hour restaurant, and includes all the features of Personal Choice Cruising. From the dazzling Grand Plaza atrium to the lavish Riviera Deck, you'll find myriad places to meet, mingle, and enjoy the ebb and flow of activity. The four-story atrium lobby offers ocean views at every level. The ultra-deluxe, glass-walled health center also overlooks the ocean.
There are four inviting swimming pools onboard, including one specifically designed for lap swimming. And, on the open-air sports deck, you can play basketball, volleyball, badminton, or paddle tennis. Improve your handicap at the computerized golf center, or relax in the library with listening chairs for books-on-tape or music. Even as you go about the business of pleasure and relaxation, you can still keep in touch with the office or your friends back home using onboard phone, fax, and computer services.
The ship features a 24-hour restaurant with evening entertainment area, dance floor, and a 270-degree view over the prow of the ship. Dining options include a pizzeria, wine and caviar bar, patisserie, hamburger and hotdog grill, and even an ice cream bar. Two showrooms boast Broadway and Vegas-style entertainment. You can also place your bets with your fellow cruise-goers at the 165 slot machines, blackjack, roulette, poker, and craps tables. Total Passengers: 1990 / 800 Crew Members
Introduction:
Spectacular glaciers, historic ports and picture perfect sceneries, a private deluxe stateroom with a balcony, personalized onboard services and world-class sightseeing opportunities along the famous Inside Passage, the Gulf of Alaska and the heart of Americas’s Last Frontier are the primary attractions during your Alaska Cruise. Is there a better and easier way for a traveler to experience the isolated coastline of Southeast Alaska? We do not believe so. The cruise lines call Alaska Natures amazing Showcase and indeed it is.

1. Day San Francisco:
Time for some sightseeing. Fisherman's Wharf, still to some extent a real working wharf, has been, alas, transformed into a whole host of touristy shops and restaurants but its waterfront atmosphere is fun. Nearby, Ghiradelli Square offers numerous fun-to-browse boutiques. Prowl around North Beach, San Francisco's Italian enclave; walk along Columbus Avenue (easily accessible from Fisherman's Wharf) and take in the shops, the gourmet delis, and the restaurants and coffee houses with sidewalk cafes. Just beyond North Beach (incidentally, there's no beach) is Chinatown (Bush Street and Grant Avenue), a wonderful, bustling, fragrant neighborhood filled with stores, butchers, pastry shops and such. Walk or drive down the part of Lombard Street (between Hyde and Leavenworth) that's known as the world's crookedest and wind your way up to Coit Tower for a splendid hilltop view of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and beyond. Departure 16:00
2. - 03. Day At Sea:
All it takes to get the inside story of Alaska's beauty is a trip through the Inside Passage, Alaska's "water highway", where majestic fjords compete for your attention with mountain masterpieces carved by the glaciers. Small fishing villages along the coast dot breathtaking panoramas and the protected waters are perfect for spotting marine mammals and other wildlife.
4. Day Sitka:
Touring St. Michael's Cathedral (Lincoln Street), distinctive for its onion-domed architecture. But the church isn't an antique; it was rebuilt, to original specifications, after a fire in 1966, reopening a decade later. The cathedral also has what is reputed to be the largest number of Russian icons in the U.S. The Sitka National Historical Park Visitor Center (Lincoln Road) for exhibits of Southeast Alaskan culture. There are demos of traditional crafts of the Tlingit tribe (silversmithing, weaving, basketry) and you can hike a self-guided, short trail to the Tlingit Fort; on the way you'll pass more than a dozen distinctive Totem poles. Shopping in Sitka, where stores like the Russian American Co. On 407 Lincoln Street, the Log Cache on 206 Lincoln Street and the Isobel Miller Museum's gift shop on Centennial Hall, 330 Harbor Drive sell heritage items. Old Harbor Books on 201 Lincoln Street is a great source for books on Sitka and southeast Alaska. There are a handful of art galleries as well, such as Sitka Rose on 419 Lincoln Street, which sells Alaskan arts and crafts. Arrival 12:00 / Departure 19:00
5. Day Juneau:
Established as a gold camp and now Alaska's capital city is the third largest city within the state. Juneau is full of contrasts, a sophisticated cosmopolitan city in the heart of the lush green Tongass National Forest. Nestled at the base of towering mountains dominated by the 1500 square mile Juneau Icefield and overlooking the Gastineau Channel, the community's rich culture and history is displayed throughout the town. Arrival 12:00 / Departure 19:00
6. Day Skagway:
As you approach Skagway, you'll see the town resting peacefully at the base of a river valley bordered by the Coast Mountain Range. The mountains, ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 feet in height, seem to rise straight up from the saltwater fjord. Once on land, the streets of Skagway draw you back to 1898 when this idyllic native fishing village and nearby Deya had a population of about 20.000 during the most fanatic Gold Rush in history. Today, wooden sidewalks, old-fashioned saloons, quaint gift shops and horse-drawn carriages serve as reminders of the famous Alaskan Gold Rush days. Don’t miss am adventurous trip with the historic White Pass Yukon Railroad completed in 1890 with the driving of a golden spike in Carcross/Yukon. The narrow gauge railroad climbs about 3000 ft within just 20 Miles. Arrival 07:00 / Departure 20:30
7. Day Tracy Arm Cruising:
This narrow fjord twists and turns for over 30 miles, culminating in a spectacular view of the twin tidewater Sawyer Glaciers. Your captain will navigate as close as the ice floe allows, stopping for an extended stay at the face of the glacier. Watch for seals relaxing on the icebergs, bald eagles soaring above the cliffs and many other animals that call this area home. Learn about the natural history of the fjord, its glaciers and the wildlife from our onboard naturalist. Gain insights into Tlingit Native culture. Overcast days will not dampen your enjoyment as clouds and mist only heighten the drama of the fjord and intensify the glacial blue color. Cruising Time: 5 Hours Arrival 05:00 / Departure 10:00
8. Day At Sea:
All it takes to get the inside story of Alaska's beauty is a trip through the Inside Passage, Alaska's "water highway", where majestic fjords compete for your attention with mountain masterpieces carved by the glaciers. Small fishing villages along the coast dot breathtaking panoramas and the protected waters are perfect for spotting marine mammals and other wildlife
9. Day Victoria:
The city of gardens, Victoria is British Columbia's provincial capital and certainly its most beautiful city. Endowed with a mild climate, this picturesque, English-flavored town epitomizes the grace and charm of the Victorian era. You may explore Victoria on your own or join an optional tour to the world-famous Butchart Gardens - 55 acres of lavishly landscaped limestone quarry that were first developed in 1904 and now represent one of the finest examples of horticulture in the world. This afternoon, you may walk through the Royal British Columbia Museum. The exhibits take you back through 12,000 years of the area's history, with dioramas depicting both native villages and explorers' rough-hewn towns. Arrival 06:00 / Departure 14:00
10. Day At Sea:
Watch for small fishing villages along the coast dot breathtaking panoramas and the protected waters are perfect for spotting marine mammals and other wildlife. You may enjoy also the ship’s spa or its many other recreational facilities.
